“ …go away to the Brook Cherith”... I Kings 17:3

A BIT OF HISTORY
In 1946 one week of camp was held at a rented site.  From there Camp Cherith moved to six other locations before finding a campground of its own in 1970.  All of the buildings and activity sites were built over period of years by the hard work and donations of many churches and individuals.  Repairs and additions are constantly being made.  Currently during the summer the site hosts five weeks of resident camp plus two weeks of day camp.  New programs are constantly being developed to meet the needs of our campers who live in an ever-changing world.

The camp occupies 125 acres with woodlands, a lovely stream, and a pond. Marked nature trails provide opportunity for exploration, a leisurely walk, or quiet time. A variety of buildings, shown below, are available for use. Camp Cherith is located in the beautiful Genesee Valley close to Letchworth State Park and area ski resorts.
